Sonopant Dandekar Shikshan Mandali was founded by few social workers and educators from Plaghar and the surrounding areas to fulfill the dream of the saintly figure Late Sonopant Dandekar (Sonu Mama).

Sonopant Dandekar Shikshan Mandali was established in 1968 where Senior College began in 1970 and Junior College began in 1977.

At present more than 4000 students are studying in Junior College under Arts, Commerce, Science and MCVC faculties. Our college is spread in over 21 acres of area.
